Ah, the Fourth of July – a day of celebration, of family, of friends, and, of course, a day of outdoor fun! If you’re planning on spending some quality time outside this July 4th, consider some of these great outdoor activities:
- Fireworks Watching: Of course, fireworks are at the top of the list. Enjoy the show from your own front or backyard with friends and family – just remember to abide by local rules and regulations and always wear eye protection.
- Hiking: Why not take advantage of the summer weather and go for a hike? Maybe find a nearby national park and check out some of the best trails. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, take a day trip to a nearby mountain and explore the forests and nature trails. Just make sure you leave no trace and are respectful of the environment while you hike.
- Camping: Nothing beats camping under the stars! Pick a spot nearby, or check out a campground in a nearby state and sleep the night away in nature. Depending on your location, you may even get to fish, boat, and kayak!
- Barbeques: This year, avoid the crowded restaurants and opt for a good old backyard BBQ.
- Picnic: ack up a basket full of delicious snacks and head to your local park. Spread a blanket out and enjoy some quality time with your family. It’s also a great way to meet new people and make friends in the community.
- Go Swimming: Take a plunge at your local swimming pool or lake and enjoy the cool water. Swimming is a great way to cool off from the summer heat and have some fun with your friends and family. Plus, it’s a great way to stay active and burn off those hot dogs and hamburgers!
We hope you have a blast this Fourth of July!
